You will supervise operations staff, coordinate with finance, contracts, IRB, and sponsor partners, implement process improvements, monitor KPIs, and mentor team members to reduce startup timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field.
• Five+ years of experience developing and negotiating budgets and payment terms.
• Experience in clinical research and/or billing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations managers and staff, ensuring workload balance and process consistency.
• Coordinate with leadership to align procedures across the study lifecycle (finance, contracts, IRB, billing).
• Serve as liaison between investigators and central office for pre-award budget matters.
• Develop internal budgets using billing grids and ensure all costs are accounted for.
• Negotiate with sponsors to obtain satisfactory reimbursement schedules.
• Collaborate with OSR Contracts to incorporate budgets into final research agreements.
• Enter finalized budgets and terms into the Clinical Research Management System.
• Review amendments for budget/contract impact and initiate changes when needed.
• Contribute to strategy and process improvements to enhance unit operations.
• Train and mentor Operations Managers and specialists; lead by example.
• Assist with master rate cards for industry sponsors and process improvements.
• Support startup timeline reductions through process improvements and KPI monitoring.
