Job summary

Vanta seeks a Senior Manager, AI Corporate Engineering to lead a senior team and own the internal AI platform stack. You will define the charter, drive platform enablement, and coordinate across engineering, security, data, and finance to ensure safe, scalable AI adoption.

You will influence cross-functional partners, set governance, and advance cost-aware governance across internal AI tools and applications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
• 3+ years managing and developing engineers.
• Hands-on depth across LLM platform tooling.
• Agent and MCP architecture, Identity/OAuth, CI/CD.
• Infrastructure as code and security-aware engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a senior team spanning platform engineering and technical program management.
• Own the AI access layer end to end: identity, allowlisting, permissions, and guardrails.
• Own AI cost engineering: attribution, right-sizing, spend traceability, budgets and alerts.
• Own the MCP layer for internal tools: governance, deployment and decommissioning.
• Own the paved path for internal applications with defaults and build-vs-buy frameworks.
• Build enablement layers: registries, evaluation framework, and sanctioned-tool enablement.
• Write and hold the charter and align cross-functional forums for coordination.
• Partner across Engineering, GRC, Security, Data, Finance, and People.
