Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Principal, AI Strategy & Engineering Transformation to turn AI from experimentation into repeatable, secure engineering capability. You will define strategy for AI-assisted software delivery and lead across Engineering, Product, Security, and Compliance.

You will prototype AI workflows, evaluate tools, and drive adoption through pilots and champion networks, ensuring governance and safe usage across regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience across software engineering, developer platforms, and enterprise technology transformation.
• Hands-on experience building AI-assisted workflows, agents, prototypes, and developer automation with generative-AI tools.
• Strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD, testing, code review, and security practices.
• Ability to use programming or scripting, APIs, and automation tooling to build prototypes and evaluation harnesses.
• Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous opportunities into structured experiments, measurable outcomes, roadmaps, and decisions.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving engineers, senior leaders, platform owners, security, compliance, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of enterprise security, data governance, responsible AI, and controls for safe AI usage in software delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to translate evidence into executive recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain AI strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for AI-assisted software engineering.
• Evaluate AI development tools across capability, security, cost, supportability, and operating-model fit.
• Design, prototype, and validate agentic and AI-assisted workflows for coding, testing, documentation, code review, and automation.
• Move ideas from concept to prototype to reusable patterns, partnering with engineering teams for productionalization.
• Discover how teams plan, build, review, release, and operate software; redesign workflows for AI and automation.
• Lead or support changes affecting engineering delivery, including governance and rollout planning.
• Run pilots with real engineering teams, baselines, dogfooding, and evidence collection.
• Build adoption through Pioneer/Champions networks and knowledge assets.
• Establish governance for AI usage with security, compliance, and data handling.
