Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Manager of Security Operations to lead a global security engineering team and drive incident response, detections, and compliance across our SaaS and cloud platforms.

You will shape the security operations strategy, empower the team with robust controls, and leverage AI to improve efficiency and maturity while staying ahead of evolving threats. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience in security and an ability to lead a global team.
• Security operations experience, with emphasis on implementing security controls in a SaaS and cloud environment.
• Experience in crafting detections and observability strategies for security events.
• Familiarity with GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53 and experience ensuring compliance.
• Experience with leveraging AI to improve security processes.
• Experience with incident response, including acting as incident commander for security incidents.
• Ability to assess and analyze security risks, prioritizing remediation with business goals in mind.
• Ability to build trust and partnerships with internal teams toward security goals.
• Open to using AI to amplify skills responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of security operations analysts with AI-first, human-centric, and trust-based approaches.
• Define strategy for security operations and empower the team to implement robust security protocols.
• Leverage AI to improve efficiency and maturity of the security program.
• Lead incident response from detection through remediation to prevention.
• Identify, develop, and implement new processes in security operations.
• Identify technologies and emerging threats and plan a technology-driven risk response.
