Job summary

EY is seeking a senior architecture leader to shape knowledge, retrieval, and grounding capabilities for AI products and agents across enterprise data sources. You will drive the target architecture, establish shared meaning, and oversee implementation from prototype to production in a hybrid work setting.

You will collaborate with domain experts to translate business questions into semantic models, build reusable ingestion patterns, and define policy-enforced paths with security and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 9–12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• A record of delivering a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded‑AI capability across sources and boundaries.
• Practical fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general‑purpose programming language.
• Experience designing pipelines that connect analytical, document, event, and operational information with clear production controls.
• Evidence of implementing access, provenance, quality, and lifecycle controls through the production retrieval path and architecture judgment.

Responsibilities

• Set the knowledge direction. Own the target architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding for AI products and agents.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and shared meaning, durable interfaces, and lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts and boundaries AI systems need.
• Engineer trusted ingestion by shaping reusable patterns that preserve authority, lineage, and freshness.
• Build effective retrieval by combining search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with trade-offs visible.
• Make evidence inspectable with citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks.
• Embed policy in the path by partnering with security, privacy, records, and legal teams.
• Prove the architecture by leading lighthouse implementations from prototype to production.
• Operate and improve by defining service objectives, observability, and quality measures.
• Build shared capability with reference components, onboarding practices, and mentoring.
