EY is seeking a senior architect to shape the knowledge and retrieval foundation for AI products and agents. You will own the target architecture, drive organizational memory design, and collaborate with domain experts to define concepts, relationships, and boundaries for interpretation by AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in data, information, solution, or platform architecture, including ownership of production AI, search, or knowledge systems.
• Enterprise delivery: a record of delivering a shared knowledge, search, graph, or grounded‑AI capability across varied sources and organizational boundaries.
• Hands‑on technical depth: fluency with semantic, graph, or retrieval technologies, strong SQL, and a general‑purpose programming language.
• Data integration: design pipelines connecting analytical, document, event, and operational information with production controls.
• Policy‑aware architecture: provenance, quality, access, and lifecycle controls in production retrieval paths; architecture judgment.
• Cross‑functional leadership: guiding complex decisions and raising engineering capability through influence.
• Travel and On‑site requirements: up to 50% travel and hybrid office presence.

Responsabilités

• Set the knowledge direction: own target architecture, roadmap, and decision principles for knowledge, retrieval, and grounding capabilities used by AI products and agents.
• Design organizational memory with a federated approach and shared meaning, durable interfaces, and lifecycle expectations.
• Translate business questions with domain experts to define concepts, relationships, and boundaries for AI systems.
• Engineer trusted ingestion: shape reusable patterns bringing varied sources into the platform with authority, lineage, and uncertainty.
• Build effective retrieval: combine search, semantic, graph, and structured methods with trade-offs visible.
• Make evidence inspectable: ensure citations, provenance, quality signals, and evaluation hooks for trust.
• Embed policy in the path: work with security/privacy/records/legal to enforce permitted use and retention requirements.
• Prove the architecture: lead lighthouse implementations from prototype to production and scale.
• Operate and improve: define service objectives, observability, incident learning, and quality measures.
• Build shared capability: create reference components, onboarding practices, and mentor engineers.
