Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Enablement in Boston to lead a team of about eight technical writers and program managers. You will own product knowledge content, release notes, localization, and AI-driven content workflows across Axon product lines.

Partner with Product, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Training for timely, accurate communications. The role focuses on governing content quality, establishing SOPs, and driving global-scale enablement initiatives while balancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical documentation, product content, product communications, enablement, or program management.
• 2+ years of experience as a people manager.
• Experience leading a team of 8 or more direct reports, ideally spanning multiple product lines or content domains.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Experience owning content or communications quality standards and governance processes.
• Experience using project and work‑tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet) and ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Clear, concise, and effective communicator, written and verbal, including with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to partner across teams and hold others accountable to a plan.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Own the Product Enablement strategic plan and annual roadmap, with clear business impact.
• Translate operational work into a coherent narrative focused on adoption and customer satisfaction.
• Build relationships with senior leaders across Product and customer-facing pillars.
• Establish prioritization frameworks aligning content investment to needs across product pillars.
• Lead the Help Site, technical documentation, and content across Axon product portfolio.
• Set quality standards and SOPs for content creation, review, and maintenance.
• Ensure content is accurate and kept current as products evolve, with cross-functional partnership.
• Own Release Notes process and governance, ensuring clear and timely information.
• Lead stakeholder communications for major product areas and incidents.
• Oversee localization sequencing and translations with Localization Center of Excellence and vendors.
• Balance global needs, budget, and timing to deliver translated content on schedule.
• Drive AI-enabled content operations and define guardrails and best practices.
• Manage a team of ~8 direct reports; build a scalable delegation model.
• Monitor performance, development, and retention; advocate with data and narrative.
• Onboard new team members and integrate acquired or transitioning teams.
