Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a senior leader to head the MTA (My Ticketing Application) team, guiding development of our go-forward ticketing platform across multiple technology domains with a focus on Service Assurance and Global Field Services.

You will champion AI initiatives, drive platform performance, and communicate strategic direction to internal teams and external customers, while providing 7x24x365 support and leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering Degree Preferred).
• Minimum 7 years related experience, including technical training and/or education; 6 years minimum experience, with 2 years minimum managerial.
• Experience implementing orchestrated workflows and network control environments.
• Expert level understanding in systems development and development frameworks (GITHUB, Itential, Java, JSON, Ansible).
• Experience forming and managing a development team from scratch.
• Expert understanding of IP, Transport, Access, and voice/VoIP network design and operation; managing a very large-scale network.

Responsibilities

• Leads the MTA team as the organization's go-forward ticketing application, driving adoption, development, and continuous improvement of the platform across all supported technology domains.
• Advances AI-driven initiatives to enhance network reliability, ticketing efficiency, and customer experience.
• Executes on a global cross-technology charter supporting automation development and support of CenturyLink Transport, Ethernet, IP, MPLS, and Voice/VoIP networks at the highest technical levels.
• Manages discovery and program coordination for command-and-control automations used by Network Operations Centers and Technical Support teams, interfacing with planning and deployment.
• Leads automation modifications including integration of legacy networks across Transport, Ethernet, IP, MPLS, and Voice; helps develop network strategy.
• Interfaces with IT to drive priorities of large-scale MTA initiatives and AI projects; serves as conduit for innovation to improve network reliability and productivity.
• Directs subordinate managers, teams, and independent contributors; on-call and client-facing communication.
• Works with internal and external teams to communicate platform improvements and strategic direction to customers.
• Oversees budgets, schedules, work plans, and personnel training; supports employee development and growth.
