Job summary

Lumen is seeking a senior leader to drive the MTA platform and AI initiatives, overseeing a team of developers focused on ticketing solutions across multiple domains. The role emphasizes platform performance, automation, and end-user experience while guiding strategic direction and customer communication.

You will partner with IT and transformation teams to advance automation and network reliability, supporting 7x24x365 operations and services across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years related experience with 2+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience implementing orchestrated workflows and network control environments.
• Expert understanding of IP, Transport, Access and VoIP networks.
• Experience forming and managing a development team from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of development frameworks and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MTA team and drive adoption, development, and continuous improvement of the platform.
• Advance AI-driven initiatives to enhance network reliability and customer experience.
• Coordinate global cross-technology automation and support CenturyLink networks at high levels.
• Oversee discovery, planning, and execution for automation initiatives with IT and planning teams.
• Guide automation across legacy networks and develop network strategy.
• Interface with IT to drive priorities of large-scale application initiatives including MTA enhancements and AI projects.
• Direct subordinate managers and teams; manage on-call communications with complex customers.
• Collaborate with Transformation Org partners to communicate product updates and strategic direction.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and personnel training; support employee development.
• Oversee MTA evolution and AI capability growth projects.
