Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior malware reverse engineer to lead reverse engineering efforts, develop detections, and guide incident response for complex threats. You will translate findings into actionable detections and collaborate with security teams across Windows and Linux environments.

You will mentor analysts, deliver technical reviews, and help elevate the engineering depth of the malware analysis team. Travel may be required for critical assignments and client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in malware reverse engineering, exploit analysis, vulnerability research, or closely related cyber technical analysis roles.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on malware analysis across Windows and Linux environments.
• Minimum 6 years of experience using advanced reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra) and 3 years with debugging tools (x64dbg, Binary Ninja).
• Minimum 5 years analyzing packed/obfuscated malware with bypass techniques.
• Minimum 4 years of low-level code experience (assembly) and 5+ years developing tooling (C/C++ or Python).
• Minimum 4 years mapping C2 protocols, infrastructure artifacts, and threat actor campaigns.
• Minimum 4 years creating detection content (YARA, Snort, Sigma).
• Minimum 3 years performing technical quality reviews of malware analysis outputs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer complex and obfuscated binaries to uncover behavior and C2 logic.
• Translate findings into high-fidelity detections for SOC use cases.
• Support incident response during critical events and provide technical QA over analyses.
