Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior malware reverse engineer to lead reverse engineering efforts, unpack sophisticated samples, and translate findings into actionable detections. You will support incident response, mentor analysts, and ensure high-quality analytical products for dissemination.

You will reverse engineer malware across Windows and Linux, map infrastructure, and develop robust detections while guiding the team through rapid triage and deeper forensic work.

Qualifications

• 10+ years malware reverse engineering, exploit analysis, or related cyber roles.
• 8+ years static and dynamic malware analysis on Windows and Linux.
• 6+ years using IDA Pro, Ghidra; 3+ years with x64dbg or Binary Ninja.
• 5+ years analyzing packed/obfuscated malware, including anti-analysis techniques.
• 4+ years with low-level code (assembly) and 5+ years developing tooling in C/C++/Python.
• 4+ years reconstructing C2 protocols and infrastructure artifacts.
• 4+ years tracking malware behaviors and TTPs of threat actors.
• 4+ years developing detection content (YARA, Snort, Sigma).
• 3+ years reproducing vulnerabilities or exploit chains seen in operations.
• 3+ years serving as technical quality reviewer of analyses.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer complex malware across Windows and Linux environments.
• Translate findings into high-fidelity detections for security operations.
• Support incident response during critical events and conduct deep analysis.
• Mentor senior analysts and raise engineering depth of the team.
• Provide crisp risk-based communications to leadership when needed.
