Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Malware Reverse Engineer to join its Security team in a senior technical lead capacity. You will reverse engineer complex malware, unpacking samples to reveal behavior, infrastructure, and adversary tradecraft, and translate findings into actionable detections for security operations.

You will support incident response, mentor analysts, and ensure technical rigor in analytical deliverables before dissemination across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of malware reverse engineering or related cyber analysis.
• 8+ years static and dynamic malware analysis on Windows and Linux.
• 6+ years with IDA Pro, Ghidra; 3+ years using x64dbg/Binary Ninja.
• 5+ years analyzing packed/obfuscated malware and bypassing anti-analysis.
• 4+ years low-level code including assembly; 5+ years tooling in C/C++ or Python.
• 4+ years extracting/reconstructing C2 protocols and infrastructure artifacts.
• 4+ years tracking malware behaviors, TTPs with threat actors.
• 4+ years developing detection content (YARA, Snort, Sigma).
• 3+ years reproducing/dissecting disclosed vulnerabilities/exploit chains.
• 3+ years technical quality review of malware analyses/reports.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (12 years) of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced static and dynamic malware analysis across Windows and Linux.
• Reverse engineer complex and obfuscated binaries, including packed samples.
• Reproduce and validate publicly disclosed vulnerabilities being exploited by threat actors.
• Extract configuration data, artifacts, and C2 logic from malware.
• Map adversary infrastructure and cross-campaign overlaps.
• Translate findings into high-fidelity detection logic for SOC use cases.
• Serve as senior technical reviewer for malware analysis outputs.
• Support incident/ransomware response with rapid vs deep-dive analysis.
• Mentor senior analysts and raise engineering depth of the team.
• Deliver risk-based briefings to leadership when escalation is needed.
