Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to ensure buildings, grounds and common areas meet safety, cleanliness and functional standards. You will diagnose defects from resident requests, perform preventative maintenance, and document work orders for tracking.

The role requires completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, managing inventory, and supporting cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible; capable of working in various weather and flexible hours

Qualifications

• Completes work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Prepares vacants and makes-ready units for leasing with punch-list items and vendor coordination.
• Tracks inventory, requisitions supplies, and notifies maintenance supervisor when reordering is needed.
• Documents requests accurately to enable tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; performs cleaning and minor painting as needed.
• Complies with OSHA and safety requirements; EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses defects from resident requests and performs repairs per code and policy.
• Completes make-ready tasks, schedules vendors, and inspects completed work.
• Maintains inventory and uses tools correctly to fix parts rather than replace when possible.
• Supports safety meetings and property inspections as needed.
