Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to manage routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant units. The role requires independence and teamwork to ensure safety, quality, and timely service across on-site properties.

Responsibilities include documenting work, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining grounds while following safety policies and local regulations. Experience in property maintenance and EPA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• Proactive, self-motivated with ability to work independently, and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Perform make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins.
• Track materials and inventory, coordinate with maintenance supervisor for re-orders.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assist in cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Attend safety meetings and adhere to OSHA and safety policies.
• Inspect work by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
