Job summary

Baxter Healthcare Corporation is seeking a Principal Maintenance Technician to support plant production by troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and systems. You will drive innovation, lead projects, and collaborate across teams to keep operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, process improvement, and cross-functional teamwork with production, quality, engineering, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Technical associate’s degree preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or 3 years as a Principle Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on automated production machinery to reduce downtime and meet production schedules.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure equipment availability.
• Lead contractors and maintenance techs on projects and ensure GMP and safety compliance.
• Train new maintenance staff and develop project management skills.
• Collaborate with engineering, drafting, purchasing, and suppliers on capital projects and process improvements.
