Job summary

Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Cleveland is seeking a Technologist to join our maintenance team supporting manufacturing excellence. You will lead electrical maintenance tasks, install and troubleshoot electrical/control circuits, and help keep plant utilities running smoothly.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and 15 years of electrical experience, with hands-on work on 13,800 VAC and PLCs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of electrical experience.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment (volt-ohm meters, ammeters, meg-ohmmeters, wiggies).
• Capability to diagnose and set up DC equipment/controllers, generators, solenoids, relays, motors, and power supplies.
• Ability to perform industrial maintenance and lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs., and reach overhead.

Responsibilities

• Lead general/electrical maintenance tasks.
• Perform maintenance and PMs on electrical systems.
• Build, install, and troubleshoot electrical/control circuits for plant utilities and equipment.
• Install transformers and overhaul equipment for maintenance and production.
• Choose fuses, circuit breakers, and overload relays for installation or replacement.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and follow national electrical codes.
• Operate and maintain 3-phase induction motors and in-plant power distribution systems.
• Diagnose and service plant electrical systems (13,800 VAC, 480 VAC, 208 VAC, 120 VAC).
• Diagnose issues in control circuits, including motor control circuits and PLC control circuits.
• Configure and troubleshoot VFDs.
• Perform basic pipe fitting as needed.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
