Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is hiring an on-site Technologist to support the safe operation of plant electrical systems. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair power distribution, motors, PLCs, and VFDs to improve equipment reliability and performance.

The role requires extensive electrical experience, ability to read schematics/NEC, and strong teamwork with operations and engineering to minimize downtime. Great benefits start Day One and the position is based in the United States.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 15 years electrical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with plant power distribution (e.g., 13,800 VAC).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead general and electrical maintenance.
• Perform maintenance and PMs on electrical systems.
• Build, install and troubleshoot electrical/control circuits for plant utilities and equipment.
• Install transformers and overhaul equipment – maintenance & production.
• Select fuses, circuit breakers, overload relays for installation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and NEC.
• Operate and maintain 3-phase induction motors and in-plant power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot plant electrical systems (13,800 VAC, 480 VAC, 208 VAC, 120 VAC).
• Troubleshoot control circuits: motor control, PLC circuits.
• Configure and troubleshoot VFDs.
• Basic pipe fitting as needed.
• Follow environmental health and safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
