Job summary

Fairlawn Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our Champaign team. You will perform a broad range of residential maintenance tasks, from plumbing to electrical work, and assist with turnover and small renovations.

The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and adherence to company policies. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of residential maintenance experience, an HVAC certification preferred, and the ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with at least 2 years driving history.
• Proficient with MS Office, AppFolio and Outlook; adaptable to new tech.
• Strong attention to detail and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Perform skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Oversee turnover of residences, obtain bids from subcontractors, and manage small renovations.
• Maintain rapport with current and prospective residents and document tasks and expenses.
• Ensure safety, OSHA compliance, and adherence to housing regulations.
