Fairlawn is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Illinois. You will perform a wide range of residential maintenance tasks, prioritize safety, and coordinate with subcontractors for large jobs. A strong emphasis on customer service and reliability is required.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in residential maintenance and HVAC certification is a plus; you will work in a fast-paced environment with potential on-call responsibilities and July–August turnover schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• 5+ years of residential maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AppFolio, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify Fairlawn's core values in daily work.
• Handle a wide range of maintenance repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, roofing) and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Perform skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and facilities.
• Assist with turnover of units, obtain bids from subcontractors, and oversee small renovations.
• Maintain good rapport with current and prospective residents and ensure timely completion of work orders.
