Job summary

Aerotek in Minneapolis, MN seeks a seasoned Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, robots, CNC machinery and cooling systems.

You will read schematics, troubleshoot PLCs, perform preventive maintenance, upgrade equipment, document work orders, and respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production running.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, relays, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with metal stamping, metalworking equipment, CNC machinery, or industrial HVAC systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic presses, pneumatic systems, motors, sensors, relays, gearboxes, bearings, and conveyors.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to identify and resolve issues.
• Support PLC and relay logic troubleshooting.
• Maintain and repair robots, cooling towers, CNC equipment, and other manufacturing systems.
• Complete equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders accurately.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to keep production running efficiently.
