Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Maintenance Technician to support and maintain CNC machine tools and production equipment in the South Metro area. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and keep equipment running at peak performance.

Qualified candidates will have experience with CNC machines, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial maintenance, along with ability to read schematics and document maintenance

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls.
• Mechanical maintenance experience on CNC machine tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and machine calibration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, routers, grinders, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical issues involving bearings, ball screws, spindles, lubrication systems, and pneumatic components.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including wiring, servo drives, sensors, relays, PLCs, and control panels.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Complete machine alignments, leveling, backlash checks, and calibration activities.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate repairs with OEMs and outside service providers as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
