Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician II to support maintenance and repairs across our properties in Illinois. You will respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, prepare apartments for turnovers, and coordinate with vendors and the Facilities Supervisor.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608 certification, CPO certification or plan to obtain within six months, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3–5 years of full-time maintenance experience
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III)
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or intend to obtain within six months
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Knowledge of key management and security systems
• Flexible schedule to accommodate after-hours and weekend emergencies
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience with Entrata, CMMS, BAS and Digital Control System

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in BAS, Entrata and CMMS for logging service requests and completed work
• Maintain property per SOP, OSHA and industry standards
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to maintain asset condition
• Oversee life safety systems monitoring and testing
• Assist in emergency and disaster preparedness planning
• Coordinate maintenance objectives with Supervisor and vendors
• Document work performed, parts used and follow-up actions
• Routinely inspect interiors and exteriors to meet company standards
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and systems
