Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician II in the United States. This role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and turnovers to ensure safe, functional buildings and satisfied residents.

Candidates should have HVAC and CPO certifications, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include operating BAS, managing service requests, coordinating with vendors, and documenting work thoroughly.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma with 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of key management and security systems.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate after-hours/weekend emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Entrata and CMMS systems for timely logging of service requests and completed work.
• Maintain the physical condition of the property per SOPs, OSHA, and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain assets and minimize liability.
• Operate system monitoring/diagnostics and preventative testing for major building systems (chilled water systems, RTUs, boilers, water distribution, BAS, electrical distribution, elevators, etc.).
• Assist in emergency and disaster preparedness planning.
• Maintain key management protocols and security, unlock apartment doors and escort vendors as needed.
• Coordinate delivery and work schedules with vendors and contractors as approved by the Facilities Supervisor.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance/repair, ensure daily completion of service requests.
• Document work performed and materials used with signatures and follow-up notes.
• Promote positive relations with residents, staff, contractors and management.
