Job summary

The Scion Group is seeking a Facilities Technician II to maintain and repair our properties in a fast-paced, collegiate environment. You will respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, prep apartments for turnovers, and coordinate with vendors to keep facilities running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years’ maintenance experience, HVAC/EPA 608, and a CPO or plan to obtain one within six months.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma required.
• 3-5 years of full-time general maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification/EPA 608 certification (Core, Type I, II & III).
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or plan to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to SOPs, OSHA and industry standards.
• Perform physically demanding work to maintain the asset and minimize liability.
• Oversee operating, system monitoring/diagnostics and preventative testing for major building systems.
• Monitor life safety systems: fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, detectors, extinguishers, emergency lighting, means of egress.
• Assist in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and safety procedures.
• Manage key access and security; escort vendors as needed.
• Coordinate deliveries and schedules with approved vendors/contractors.
• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all service requests are completed.
