Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure equipment operates efficiently, oversee maintenance staff, and drive process improvements. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, plus experience with maintenance planning and budgeting.

Qualifications

• High school or GED preferred; two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance management experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, parts management, and vendor relations is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals per schedule.
• Manage and assign maintenance tasks across shifts.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in the department.
• Train and develop maintenance staff.
