Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment functions efficiently and to identify process improvements. You will oversee maintenance staff, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLCs, and manage safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with production, and guiding the maintenance team through training and scheduling. Overtime may be required, and the company supports on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting and vendor management is required.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment including wiring, mechanical, and plumbing.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using blueprints and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Manage overtime and assign maintenance across shifts.
• Oversee safety compliance and environmental requirements.
• Train and develop maintenance staff; monitor training status.
