Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company seeks a Maintenance Superintendent to lead all mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance for kilns, mills, crushers, and conveyors at our Virginia facility.

You will supervise 18 mechanics, coordinate mechanical projects (Opex/Capex), ensure safety standards, manage plans, budgets, and contractor work, and report progress to leadership in a 24/7 maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in maintenance with supervisory duties.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and cement plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise maintenance of kilns, mills, crushers, and conveyors.
• Plan schedules and manage 24/7 maintenance coverage and outages.
• Lead a team of 18 mechanics and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Ensure safety compliance and reporting to management.
