Job summary

Ash Grove Cement is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to coordinate and supervise maintenance and preventive maintenance activities for plant equipment. You will oversee engineering services for maintenance improvements and capital projects, supervising a large maintenance workforce.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent), plus extensive maintenance leadership experience in cement or related industries and strong safety regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience with supervisory responsibilities in a cement or related industry preferred.
Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion.
Ability to lead, direct and manage organizations, programs, and people.
Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and maintenance techniques.

Responsibilities

Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Establish job responsibilities, goals, and performance standards for Maintenance Department employees.
Evaluate performance and recommend merit increases and promotions.
Improve job performance through motivation, goal setting, and feedback.
Coordinate with other personnel regarding maintenance projects and priorities; report progress.
