Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician III to perform complex maintenance on cement-plant equipment and assist mechanical engineers with designing, testing and maintaining machinery. The role emphasizes safety, hands-on repairs, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, technical training preferred, and at least 4 years of experience with heavy process equipment in a cement plant.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent (HS) required.
• Willingness to learn; training provided.
• Technical or vocational training preferred; 4+ years heavy process equipment experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Inspect plant process machinery and provide repair recommendations.
• Install and repair plant process machinery; provide written work descriptions.
• Operate boom lifts, cranes, forklifts, and related mobile equipment.
• Provide scope of work, parts and equipment requirements for repairs during outages.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
