Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in a manufacturing facility. You will supervise staff, schedule repairs and PMs, and ensure reliable equipment operation while controlling costs and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Under the Maintenance Manager, you will drive root-cause analysis, manage budgets, and mentor staff to develop a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a maintenance leadership role in manufacturing.
• Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of refrigeration/freezing systems, boilers, HVAC, PLC controls.
• Strong communication skills in English and with internal/external customers.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with scheduling repairs, PMs, installation and repair of equipment and grounds upkeep.
• Supervise maintenance staff to minimize downtime, costs, and maximize accountability and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failure and implement long-term fixes.
• Manage department budget within approved limits and seek cost-saving methods.
• Prioritize requests based on urgency and resource availability.
• Inspect equipment and recommend upgrades to improve reliability.
• Ensure maintenance records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Mentor and train staff; administer performance feedback and development.
• Promote safety programs to help maintain a zero accident culture.
• Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.
