Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager in Enterprise, AL for 2nd shift. You will support the Maintenance Manager, supervise staff, and drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and cost control.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years in maintenance leadership within manufacturing. Strong communication and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• A combination of education and experience may be substituted for a degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance manager with scheduling repairs and PMs.
• Supervise maintenance staff to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failure and implement long-term fixes.
• Manage department budget and monitor cost-saving methods.
• Review maintenance requests and prioritize repairs by urgency and resources.
• Inspect equipment and recommend upgrades for reliability.
• Mentor and train employees; provide regular feedback.
• Follow safety initiatives and ensure PPE use and compliance.
