Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Maintenance Department in a manufacturing environment. You will supervise 5–15 hourly staff, manage preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment, facilities and utilities operate safely and reliably.

You will coordinate with Engineering, QA and Product Development, uphold GMP/OSHA standards, maintain inventory, and drive cost reductions while developing the team.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with PM systems and Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance department personnel in daily operations to minimize downtime and costs.
• Maintain Preventative Maintenance programs for machinery, grounds, and buildings.
• Schedule repairs, maintenance, and installations for production support.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities with operating teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Development, and QA on maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory.
• Participate in hiring and development of maintenance staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
