Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Mainframe Capacity & Performance Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team. You will lead capacity planning, workload analysis, and performance optimization across IBM z/OS environments, ensuring reliability for critical healthcare, pharmacy, and retail applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mainframe experience including z/OS and IBM Z.
• 5+ years in capacity planning, performance engineering, production troubleshooting.
• 3+ years analyzing utilization trends and forecasting capacity.
• 3+ years using mainframe monitoring and performance management tools.
• 2+ years Excel reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize enterprise mainframe resource utilization, performance, and capacity.
• Conduct capacity planning, forecasting, trend analysis, and real-time diagnostics to identify bottlenecks.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, database, and systems programming teams to troubleshoot performance and implement optimizations.
• Deliver utilization reports, performance assessments, and capacity recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership for testing, QA, production support, incident response, and on-call rotation.
