Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Mainframe Capacity & Performance Engineer to join our Enterprise Infrastructure group. This role leads capacity planning, workload analysis, and performance optimization across IBM z/OS environments to support mission-critical health systems and retail applications.

You will partner with Application Development, Systems Programming, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, and Operations to drive efficiency, manage risks, and improve service levels during

Qualifications

5+ years supporting enterprise IBM mainframe environments (z/OS).
5+ years capacity planning and performance engineering.
3+ years analyzing utilization trends and forecasting capacity.
3+ years using mainframe monitoring and performance tools.
2+ years advanced Excel reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and optimize mainframe resource utilization and performance.
Conduct capacity planning, forecasting, trend analysis, and real-time diagnostics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
Provide reports and recommendations to support infrastructure investments.
Lead on-call rotation for production performance incidents.
