Job summary

Ensono seeks an experienced MQ mainframe support professional to deliver premium software support and services to our z/OS MQ clients. You will diagnose issues, guide installations, and ensure service excellence across multiple time zones.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years on the zSeries platform with CICS TS expertise and OEM product support, and can work independently under tight deadlines. Shift is 8AM–5PM local time, with on-call/on-site requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years experience on the zSeries (mainframe) platform including hands-on installation and maintenance related to CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough working knowledge of CICS TS concepts, configuration and tailoring.
• Extensive use of IBM SMP/E and related tools for CICS TS environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary support for MQ software products and resolve reported problems.
• Fulfill customer service orders (CSOs) for z/OS MQ in a timely manner.
• Provide support on a 24x7x365 basis across multiple time zones.
• Follow install procedures for MQ products per Ensono standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare partitions for annual OS upgrades.
• Support customer migrations and transitions relating to MQ software.
• Assist project managers in migrating newly acquired customers and overcoming technical hurdles.
• Work with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plan execution.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures and implement vendor fixes and upgrades.
