Job summary

Rocket Software in the United States is seeking a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager to own end-to-end mainframe modernization engagements. You will drive delivery from assessment through migration, cutover and stabilization, reporting to the Director of Technical Project Management within Enterprise Services.

You will coach peers, develop templates and ensure scope, schedule and margin are met, with senior leadership exposure and independent accountability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering technology projects with external customers.
• Ownership of engagements end to end with accountability for scope, schedule and quality.
• Experience in software implementation or systems integration in production environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials models.
• Strong written reporting and customer communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute mainframe modernization engagements with high autonomy.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate assessment, migration, re-hosting and hybrid cloud integration.
• Lead testing, cutover, rollback readiness and post-go-live stabilization.
• Develop detailed schedules, cost forecasts and risk registers.
• Facilitate status meetings and deliver executive-level narratives and artifacts.
• Coach and review less experienced project managers and contribute templates.
