Job summary

Rocket Software seeks a Senior Enterprise Engagement Manager in the United States to own end-to-end delivery of mainframe modernization engagements, from assessment through stabilization and handover. You will manage scope, schedule, cost and quality with limited supervision, and mentor other project managers within Enterprise Services.

This role emphasizes disciplined analysis across systems and stakeholders, with accountability and the ability to influence without direct reports.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience delivering technology projects.
• Ownership of engagements end to end with accountability for scope, schedule and cost.
• Experience delivering software implementation or systems integration in complex environments.
• Experience with Fixed Price and Time & Materials delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder facilitation, written reporting and customer communication.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision, with proactive decision making.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute mainframe modernization engagements for assigned customers end to end.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk across multiple workstreams.
• Lead assessments, migration, re-platforming or re-hosting activities.
• Coordinate with surrounding systems and hybrid cloud targets.
• Oversee testing, cutover and rollback readiness; post-go-live stabilization.
• Maintain governance artifacts and requirements traceability in regulated environments.
• Facilitate status meetings and provide delivery narratives to executives.
• Coach less experienced project managers and contribute to PMO templates and processes.
• Collaborate with business, finance, legal and GTM on commercial mechanics.
