Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing to lead design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications. Responsibilities include guiding offshore/onsite teams, code reviews, deployment support, and ensuring scalable, compliant enterprise integration while meeting project timelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in MQ, mainframe technologies and Healthcare Claims processing.
• Experience with design, development, support and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions.
• Strong knowledge of release management, code promotion and post-deployment validation.
• Experience collaborating with offshore and onsite teams in Agile environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, PMs, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
