Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing. The role leads design, development, support, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications, ensuring reliable enterprise integration while partnering with onsite and offshore teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mainframe technologies and MQ/CICS.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related workflows.
• Strong understanding of code migration and release management processes.
• Experience with package creation and code promotion across Dev, Test, QA, and Prod environments.
• Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with business stakeholders and offshore teams.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
• Collaborate with analysts, QA, PMs, and support teams to ensure project success.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members; coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
