Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of MQ, CICS, and Healthcare Claims processing. The role leads design, development, and optimization of MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance while collaborating with onsite and offshore teams.

Responsibilities include transforming requirements into scalable mainframe systems, code reviews, production support, SIT/UAT deployments, and mentoring offshore staff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in MQ, mainframe technologies, and healthcare claims processing.
• Experience with code migration and release management processes.
• Experience with package creation and code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.
• Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders and offshore teams.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
