Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe with 7+ years of experience in MQ, CICS, and Healthcare Claims processing to lead design, development, and optimization of enterprise MQ-based messaging and Claims applications.

You will coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure compliance, review code, and support SIT/UAT and deployments while mentoring junior staff. This role offers opportunities to drive critical enterprise initiatives and collaborate across global teams.

Qualifications

This role requires strong experience with mainframe technologies including CICS and MQ.
Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related workflows.
Solid understanding of release management and code promotion across environments.
Experience working in Agile environments and in offshore/onshore collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications on mainframe systems.
Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
Collaborate with analysts, QA, PMs, and support teams to ensure project success.
Provide technical leadership to offshore teams and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
Serve as a point of contact for issue resolution and production support.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices.
Support SIT, UAT, production deployments and post-implementation activities.
