Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Mainframe professional for remote work to lead MQ-based messaging solutions and healthcare claims processing initiatives. The role focuses on design, development, support, and optimization of critical mainframe systems while partnering with onsite and offshore teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in MQ, CICS, and healthcare claims processes, with strong collaboration and leadership capabilities to coordinate across environments and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing.
• Proven ability to design, develop, support, and optimize MQ-based messaging solutions and Claims applications.
• Experience leading design and implementation with onsite and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS, and MQ.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
