Job summary
Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe to join as a Remote role, focusing on MQ-based messaging and Healthcare Claims processing. The role leads design, development, support, and optimization of enterprise-scale mainframe solutions while coordinating onsite and offshore teams.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mainframe tech with CICS and MQ, strong problem-solving, and experience in Agile environments.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with mainframe technologies, including CICS and MQ.
- Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related workflows.
- Understanding of code migration and release management processes.
- Experience with package creation and code promotion across environments (Dev, Test, QA, Prod).
- Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders and offshore teams.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications on mainframe systems.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain Claims applications using CICS and MQ.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA, PMs, and support teams for project success.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor offshore team members; coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
- Act as a key contact for technical issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
- Perform code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
