Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe with 7+ years in MQ, mainframe technologies, and Healthcare Claims processing. The role leads design, development, and optimization of MQ-based messaging and Claims applications, partnering with onsite and offshore teams to ensure enterprise integration and compliance.

Responsibilities include implementing scalable mainframe solutions, coordinating release management, and providing technical leadership while maintaining quality and performance

Qualifications

• Strong experience with mainframe technologies, including CICS and MQ.
• Experience with Healthcare Claims Adjudication processes and related business workflows.
• Strong understanding of code migration and release management processes.
• Experience with package creation and code promotion across Development, Test, QA, and Production environments.
• Knowledge of post-deployment validation and backout procedures.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and offshore development teams.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with business stake holders and offshore development team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions for Claims applications by transforming business requirements into scalable, efficient, and compliant mainframe systems.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain mainframe Claims applications using CICS, and MQ.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, project managers, and support teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore team members and coordinate onsite-offshore activities.
• Serve as a key point of contact for technical issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-implementation activities.
