Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to design, implement, and maintain core banking systems, with a focus on COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and VSAM. The role partners with business units and technology teams to translate needs into cost-effective solutions aligned with corporate strategy, including Cloud Core data integration activities.

Responsibilities span requirements analysis, program design and testing, mainframe troubleshooting, and collaboration across squads

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on mainframe development with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, batch processing.
• Experience with FIS Systematics RM and GN.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and system integration concepts.

Responsabilités

• Identify and document business needs, objectives, functions, features, inputs, and outputs.
• Analyze and document data, workflows, interfaces, and operating environments.
• Create and maintain system documentation and program views.
• Participate in Cloud Core data mapping and integration activities.
• Develop, test, and maintain COBOL/CICS programs and mainframe apps.
