Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Sr. Developer, Technology to collaborate with the Delivery team, define tasks, and provide estimates for User Stories in an Agile environment.

You will work on mainframe applications using COBOL, z/OS, CICS, and JCL, ensuring value and quality while supporting business units and enterprise standards. The role emphasizes hands-on development, troubleshooting, and collaboration with IT peers, testers, and scrum masters, with hybrid work arrangements and ongoing production support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years COBOL, z/OS, JCL, TSO, CICS experience
• Experience in Hogan mainframe banking system development
• Experience with Sort Utility software (i.e. DFSORT, SYNCSORT)
• Experience with Scheduling, File Manager, File Transfer and Debug software
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Keen attention to detail with focus on quality
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly and positively

Responsibilities

• Participate in all Agile ceremonies.
• Work with teammates and IT peers to develop/modify, test, implement and support mainframe applications. This includes providing on-going support to our internal business units who utilize these applications as part of their daily operations.
• Provide support in the form of application functional knowledge, support documentation, system monitoring and production support (including off hours and weekend on-call support as necessary).
• Ensure applications remain current, stable and compliant, and meet enterprise standards.
• Familiarity with Hogan mainframe development.
• Other duties as required of role.
