Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced mainframe developer to design, implement, enhance, and maintain core banking systems. You will work on COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF, supporting FIS Systematics RM and GN components, with cloud data integration initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have deep mainframe troubleshooting skills, strong SDLC experience, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on mainframe development experience using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, Batch processing, and TSO/ISPF.
• Hands-on experience with FIS Systematics Relationship Manager (RM) and GN.
• Ability to analyze, develop, test, debug, and maintain COBOL and CICS programs.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in mainframe online and batch processing environments.
• Knowledge of Systematics GN and ability to work with GN components, including SDR, TBR, ICR, and TCR.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and system integration concepts.
• Strong technical coding skills with a demonstrated record of following established processes and development standards.
• Demonstrated experience in systems analysis and design, workflow analysis, and application development.

Responsabilités

• Partner with business units to identify and document business needs, objectives, functions, features, inputs, and outputs.
• Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflows, logical processes, operating environments, system interfaces, controls, and outputs.
• Create and maintain system documentation, diagrams, database information, input/output record layouts, and program views.
• Participate in Cloud Core data mapping and related integration activities.
• Analyze, develop, and test COBOL and CICS programs.
• Design, code, test, debug, implement, and maintain complex mainframe programs and applications.
• Troubleshoot issues occurring in mainframe online and batch processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot FIS Systematics RM.
• Work with FIS Systematics GN components, including SDR, TBR, ICR, and TCR.
• Apply basic REST API knowledge when supporting system interfaces and integration activities.
• Prepare test data and apply established testing techniques to validate system changes and application functionality.
• Revise and refine programs as functional and system requirements change.
• Participate in application testing, implementation, production support, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop and maintain documentation covering program logic, code, testing, changes, and corrections.
• Provide technical support to internal customers and assist with training peers and Software Quality Assurance staff.
• Prioritize and organize work while operating independently with moderate guidance and collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
