Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Db2 for z/OS DBA experience including design, maintenance, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and production support.
• 3+ years experience with Db2 administration tools and Db2 utilities (LOAD, UNLOAD, RUNSTATS, REORG, COPY, RECOVER, SPUFI).
• 3+ years advanced SQL performance tuning, access path analysis, and index management in Db2 z/OS environments.
• 3+ years JCL development, DBA job scheduling, and 24x7 production on-call support.
• 1+ year experience designing, implementing, or supporting database replication.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Db2 z/OS and IDMS databases across production and non-production environments.
• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning, access path analysis, index recommendations, RUNSTATS, REORG, and resource utilization analysis.
• Develop and implement automation solutions to improve database administration processes and operational efficiency.
• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes, including DR documentation and testing.
• Support Db2 function level upgrades, version migrations, RSU maintenance, and database utility execution.
• Respond to database support requests, change requests, audit inquiries, and production incidents with 24x7 on-call rotation.
• Provide technical consultation and knowledge transfer to development, infrastructure, and application teams.
