Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Mail Security Operations Specialist to support high-risk mail operations for government and high-security facilities. You will advise on how mail is received, screened, isolated, opened when required, documented, and escalated.

Role requires 10+ years in mail-security operations, hands-on imaging like X-ray screening, and ability to coordinate with security partners and field teams. Occasional travel to client sites is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in high-risk mail screening or related security operations.
• Experience leading mail-screening teams and coordinating with security partners.
• Knowledge of federal mail-screening guidance and facility standards.
• Ability to operate in off-site or isolated screening facilities and use automated screening equipment.
• Valid US driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance (TS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Help write mail-screening procedures for high-consequence sites and ensure proper intake, screening, isolation, and release.
• Advise on isolated-cell operations, PPE use, chain of custody, and evidence handling decisions.
• Support drills with security, facilities, and first responders; translate workflow into screening-system requirements.
• Train client screeners and field technicians on suspicious-mail recognition and stop-work authority.
• Coordinate incident documentation with USSS, USPIS, FPS, bomb squads, and equivalents as needed.
• Travel occasionally to client sites and Planate locations to support operations.
