Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking an experienced Mail Security Operations Specialist to support high-risk mail operations for government and high-security facilities. The role involves advising on intake, screening, isolation, and escalation, with occasional travel to client sites.

The candidate will write procedures, lead screening teams, and coordinate with security and federal agencies. Security clearance and DoD-related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-risk mail screening or similar secure mail operations.
• Hands-on use of X-ray or equivalent imaging for letters and parcels.
• Experience leading mail-screening teams and working with secure facilities.
• Knowledge of federal mail screening guidance and facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Write and update mail-screening procedures for high-consequence sites.
• Advise on isolated-cell operations including PPE, chain of custody, and evidence handling.
• Coordinate drills with security, facilities, and first-responders.
• Train screeners on suspicious-mail recognition and stop-work authority.
• Support pilots: site surveys, acceptance testing, and go-live activities.
• Coordinate incident documentation with USSS/USPIS/FPS/ bomb squad.
